Since our beginning in 1989, Colorado Custom’s goal has been to provide original, show-quality, American-made truck accessories for drivers demanding the best for their interiors. And, even though our original ideas are copied by foreign competitors seemingly within weeks of each new product release, one fact remains: If you are looking for high quality accessories, manufactured with unparalleled attention to detail by a company willing to stand behind its product, look to Colorado Custom.
Operations began once Rob Squires designed the first billet aluminum air valve knob ever made. The polishing was done in an old barn (mainly by “Mom”) and parts were sold literally one at a time. After some refining, making it possible to manufacture the part in large quantities, we were on our way. Due to hard work, belief in fair play, an attitude of perfectionism and great customers, we are now a fully equipped machine shop with a separate assembly site.
A big thank you goes to Carl and Jo Reuth (former owner-operators) who carried boxes of our product on the road with them and set up several truck stops along the way. Brian O’Leary, LD driver for Western Distributing did the same. Thank you, Brian! Jim Morris of the Iowa 80 Truck Stop in Walcott, IA took us under his wing and spent countless hours on the phone educating and encouraging us as we grew. We can’t thank you enough “Jim-Bob”. Much appreciation goes to America’s Truck Wash and Chrome for representing us so well at their booths during truck shows and at their store in Wheeling, WV. And, of course, we wouldn’t be where we are if it weren’t for our great customers. Thanks to so many show truck owners and drivers for displaying our accessories at truck shows across the country.
